Gary Stewart is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lyfeguard.
Gary is a serial entrepreneur. He grew his previous venture, Xceed, to £20m in annual revenues with a workforce of 200 across the UK, EU, and United States. Xceed was recognised in the The Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 for three consecutive years between 2016 and 2018, reaching as high as third nationally and first in the London region in 2017. In 2018, Xceed was acquired by Wavestone.
The idea behind Lyfeguard was born in 2021. "After the death of a close friend, I was asked by his family to sort out his estate. I agreed to help of course, but I must admit to being overwhelmed by the task which was made more difficult because of the grief we were all suffering. Not knowing where important information was held was difficult, such as financial and legal documentation, and this elongated the grieving process making it harder for all involved. I decided then I wouldn’t want to leave my family in a similar position if something happened to me and so, the Lyfeguard vision was born. Now no one should have to struggle with the same problems I did."
